The following events/opportunities are considered “Standard Pro-D” and are pre-approved by the Pro-D Committee:
University courses/tuition. You are entitled to apply to up to $500 per calendar year for credit and noncredit coursework. This includes any course, workshop, or program that is tax deductible.
Classroom Observations located in the CRD and Pro-D Events that fall on an instructional day require an LOA (leave of absence). The form must be completed 15 days prior to the event or observation day. You will receive an email with your approval and instruction on how to submit your leave on Atrieve.
Any events or workshops hosted in collaboration with the STA by our Local Specialist Associations (LSAs). Currently we have 5 LSAs sponsored by the STA Office. LSAs do not charge member dues – find out when their next meeting is and get involved!
All events promoted or hosted by the BCTF and PSAs are standard and can be reimbursed without approval. CLICK HERE for the PSA page and CLICK HERE for the Expense Claim Form.
Alternative Pro-D events that are approved by the Pro-D Committee and do not require pre-approval for reimbursement.
