Kath Murdoch’s 3-Part Learning Series: The Art of Inquiry Teaching

We know that it is what teachers think, do and say when working with students that most strongly influences students’ learning. In this series of three, interactive, online workshops, Kath Murdoch will explore what ‘teaching’ looks, sounds and feels like when we bring an inquiry stance to our work. Based on her popular resource “The Art of Inquiry” Kath Murdoch will guide participants through several key practices designed to build a solid repertoire of strategies and teaching approaches in-keeping with an inquiry stance. These practices are applicable across the curriculum and include: cultivating curiosity, questioning, noticing, releasing responsibility, thinking big and keeping it real. Educators will be provided with links to a range of online resources to support each practice and will have the opportunity to apply strategies in their classrooms in between sessions.  This series celebrates, explores and challenges us all to think about the essence of our work – how we teach.  Not only will your repertoire be enhanced – you will have a deeper understanding of inquiry as a profoundly engaging and powerful approach to working with young people.
